Eliot: The Waste Land (PART II)

Why I think he ends as he does in this poem:

He ends in a variety of languages, including English, Italian, French, Greek, Latin, etc.
The statements are comments of despair, end, destruction, and other sentiments linked to the end of life -- death! I feel his purpose behind doing so was to tie in all of the different countries that were affected by the destruction and deaths of WWI.  Though these countries of different people with different languages were at war, their despair cries resounded in harmony.
